PROJECT DESCRIPTION //

Maryland Food Bank provides over 2000 tons of food a year to needy organizations and individuals through out the State. The Maryland Food Bank Central office and warehouse facility is located in Elkridge, Maryland. NPB was the Design/Build Contractor for a new 12,000 SF Renovation of the existing Food Bank Central Offices located in Elkridge Maryland Airport Property. This project was competitively bid among several prequalified D/B Contractors. The project included renovation of three separate areas within the existing 60,00 SF facility. The areas included the conversion of the main office from a single floor office area into a two story office and volunteer greeting and training facility. The renovation was performed while the building continued to occupied. Two other smaller ares for Patron services and Central meeting speaces were also renovated as a part of the project. The entire Exterior at the main entry was also completely modified and new windows were added to the perimeter. NPB had to maintain a predetermined Budget Involvement with design team to develop schematic, design and construction drawings; Monitoring and analysis of construction schedule; Preparation of monthly requisitions; Schedule and facilitate progress meetings; preparation and distribution of meeting minutes; maintenance of master documents and as-built drawings; communications management between Owner, Design Engineer and Contractor
